In December 2017 The Barbara Bus Fund was delighted to open its fourth satellite branch at the Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Unit, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield.
The vehicle “BILL” is a Ford Tourneo Connect adapted to carry one wheelchair passenger.
The vehicle is available for use by inpatients at the PRSCIC. There are no restrictions on reason for travel; passengers have used the bus to visit family and friends, go shopping, meals out, sightseeing and visiting the theatre, naming just a few.
This is the first vehicle named “BILL”. Bill Seaton was a friend of Barbara and one of the first volunteer drivers at the Barbara Bus Fund.
